WESTLAKE, OH — Apple has closed dozens of stories around the country amid a surge in COVID-19 cases. Its retail store at 267 Crocker Park Blvd in Westlake was among them, according to the company's website. The closure stems from a wave of COVID-19 cases among employees that's left some stores unsafe and understaffed, the New York Times reported. The company has also shut down Apple stores throughout New York City, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C. and more. "We regularly monitor conditions and we will adjust our health measures to support the well-being of customers and employees," the company said in a statement to CNBC. It's not known how long the closure at the Apple store in Westlake or other locations will last.
