MOORESVILLE, NC — An AMBER alert for three children has been canceled and a Mooresville man is in police custody in Texas, according to law enforcement in the Lone Star state. The Texas Department of Public Safety canceled the AMBER alert after finding the three children in Hondo, Texas in a wooded area behind a neighborhood. Their father, Jonathan Wright, was taken into custody, according to News 4 San Antonio. Wright was wanted for sex crimes against children in Mooresville. Those crimes did not involve his own children, according to KSAT.
