Skilled maintenance technician preferably with 2 or more years of experience in performing residential apartment maintenance, turnovers, work orders, and know how to troubleshoot, solve and repair problems. The property owner takes pride in their properties, and wants things done the right way. We don't put band-aids on problems. We are looking for someone who likes what they do, takes pride in their work, and has a good attitude. We take care of our employees and our buildings. In return we ask that you are flexible and hard working. Work will be performed at multiple locations around the city of Rochester so tools and supplies will need to be carried in maintenance technicians vehicle as well as going to various stores to pick up supplies. Employee must have their own vehicle. Employee should have tools such as: a) Battery power drill and saws all. b) Basic plumbing tools - screw drivers, basic wrench, pliers, socket set for removing bathroom stems from showers, copper sweating tools, pipe wrenches, crow bars. c) Basic electrical tools to test stove, oven, refrigerator and electrical sockets d) Basic plastering tools - trowels, mud pan e) Basic carpentry tools - miter saw, jig saw, levels, tape measures, stud finder Basic tools are required. We will provide more advanced tools, and replace any damaged equipment. Experienced in basic carpentry: Repair or replace interior doors, repair or replace exterior doors, door jambs, molding, cabinet hinges, repair or replace cabinets/shelves, repair or replace broken windows, etc. Experienced in basic plumbing: Repair and/or replace toilets, kitchen or bathroom washers, seats, stems or faucets, shower valves, handles, garbage disposal, sinks, and all pvc plumbing under sinks. Sweat copper occasionally. Repair or replace water heater. Basic sheet rock/plaster repairs: Fast and efficiently repair holes in walls, doors, ceilings and have tools to make a smooth and finished patch. *Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds Qualified applicants will be on probation for first 90 days during which time we will evaluate your performance.
