Exciting company in North Oakland near Bloomfield is seeking a Handyman & Maintenance Person to handle a variety of miscellaneous tasks for all of our locations. ( 8 buildings) Hours can vary from 30-40 hours per week and the rate is $15/hr. This position can develop into a full time position with the right candidate. This person must have a valid driver's license and reliable means of transportation. They will be responsible for maintaining all of our locations. Job Responsibilities • Must be able to lift 75 lbs and move heavy items such as furniture, boxes • Repair/maintain items around the offices/warehouse such as replacing furnace filters, basic plumbing fixes, electrical, replacing ceiling tile, drywall repairs, painting, light carpentry, outdoor maintenance, and other tasks as assigned • Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems to include: packaging and handling machinery, plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, grounds equipment, and HVAC • Replace and repair building finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, and can paint walls, piping, floors and equipment • Preserving the value of the building by consistently executing on preventative maintenance programs • Assemble items such as furniture, equipment and other items as assigned • Handle office space moves and reorganization • Run errands for company owners, such as purchasing supplies and materials or other errands as assigned • Sweep/shovel/salt sidewalks, sweep garage floor, etc. • Perform carpentry and snow removal when necessary Core Competencies: • Detail oriented. • Technical proficiency. • Can work independently with minimal supervision. Must be able to figure things out and have initiative and foresight • Sense of urgency. Must be flexible and available for building repair emergencies • Self-starter, problem solver, responsible. • A safety mindset and an eye for detail Experience 3-5 years previous experience handling the above mentioned job responsibilities ****Please reply and include resume listing job experience.
