I am the ministry coordinator for one of Orange County’s only shower ministries dedicated to helping our homeless community week in and week out. We are open from 6am until 1230pm at the very latest every Tuesday and Thursday, where we offer a huge hot breakfast, along with a goodie bag to help them out through the rest of the day full of all kinds of goodies. And most importantly, 15-20 minutes guaranteed hot showers to anyone who needs one. We also offer mail services to the homeless community, along with clothing, and access to the different Social Services available to their community through City Net and the OC Health Department. With the new year upon us, we are reaching out to see if anyone if the community would like to offer up their time come and volunteer with us each week. We could use help with serving the food, to assisting with running the showers, to making coffee, and heling with passing out the mail each day… And everything in between.
