We provide all necessary training and tools. Pay starts between $20 and $30 per hour, dependent upon experience and qualifications installing underground utilities and with related equipment, and CDL status, with no experience required. The nature of work: Work will require extensive use of large, heavy underground utilities and construction machinery and equipment; and working outdoors in extreme heat during the summer and cold weather during winter. Most work locations will be outdoors, in rural areas and public spaces. Crew members must be able to interact with fellow crew members, potential customers, and the general public in a friendly and professional manner at all times. You should not apply if you have an aversion to or fear of working outdoors, on public roads or near traffic; if you would be unhappy working out of doors, in rural areas, in grass and brush where you may encounter insects or other outdoor fauna; or if you would be unhappy working as part of a team or interacting with the general public on a daily basis. Other requirements: -A current, non-expired commercial driver’s license is a huge plus – CDL-holding applicants will be considered first. -Must have or be able to obtain a DOT medical card. -Must be fluent in English (read/write/speak). -Must be willing to take and able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and ongoing random screenings throughout employment. -Must be able to pass our Background Check (no felonies, no probation). -Must show adequate knowledge and ability in underground utility construction and traffic control, or closely related skills — direct experience in underground utilities and traffic control are a plus, or experience in general construction can be beneficial. While we will provide all necessary training required to do the work, applicants with existing knowledge and experience in these areas will be considered first. -Must have a clean driving record and a valid, non-expired Texas driver’s license. Applicants who do not already have a CDL and Texas DOT medical card must be willing and able to obtain them. -Must be able and willing to safely lift at least 75lbs on a regular basis (more is a plus). Other information: -We will provide the successful applicant with a vehicle to use during work hours (you will need your own vehicle to get to and from our office at the beginning and end of the day), and all necessary equipment and supplies. -This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, starting early in the morning, with the occasional weekend day required. -The work office is located off of Shell Road in Georgetown, TX. Interviews will be conducted in the Austin office off Hwy 183 near Anderson Mill Rd. Compensation: -Starting wage: $20 to $30 per hour dependent upon experience installing underground utilities, experience controlling traffic, experience operating related heavy machinery, CDL status, and other qualifications. If you have no experience and no CDL, expect to start at $20/hr. -Regular periodic performance reviews & raises based on those reviews. -Weekly paychecks. -Paid health insurance, 60 day waiting period. -12 days paid vacation days per year, starts accruing on your 1st day of work (no waiting period). -5 paid holidays per year -New Years Day, Christmas Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day and Labor Day. -Regular periodic performance-based bonuses. -After 1 year: 401k with matching contributions.
