This class Introduces the student to the tactical considerations of utilizing your handgun for personal defense in a low light environment
Low Light Pistol 1 Introduces the student to the tactical considerations of utilizing your handgun for personal defense in a low light environment. If a handgun is apart of your everyday carry system, training in adverse lighting conditions is essential.
Cost for this class is $150.00, Plus a $25 cash range fee the night of class.
Topics covered include:
Commonly used handheld flashlight techniques, types of lights, weapon mounted lights, use of cover, handgun manipulations specific to low light, movement, verbal commands, target identification, night sights vs non-illuminated sights discussion, varied lighting conditions and light discipline.
Required gear:
*Handgun (preferably your EDC or duty weapon)
*3 magazines minimum (if you are running single stack mags bring more to reduce downtime)
*Reliable Holster (OWB and IWB including AIWB allowed. Avoid nylon/ “one size fits all”)
*2 handheld flashlights (primary and backup)
*spare batteries
*400 rounds (additional ammo is highly recommended as round counts fluctuate per class)
*Eye/ear pro
*Ball cap/hat
*Warm clothing
Optional gear:
*Pistol mounted weapons light (highly recommend if you run one as apart of your EDC or are thinking about running one.
*hand heaters
*Knee pads
prerequisites:
Successful completion of our Dynamics of Defensive Shooting level 1 course or permission from the instructor.
