I am looking to re-home my Avocado Puffer fish (sometimes called a Bronze puffer fish). Allow me to explain... I ordered this fish at the beginning of the pandemic through a specialty fish store out of state. I've kept tropical fish for years and always wanted a puffer fish that didn't get too big and that had a big personality. Several people in online forums recommended the Avocado puffer. I had a 20 gallon long tank and I thought this type of fish would be perfect for my office. Well, I was wrong--and technically they were right. This puffer does have a lot of personality, but he's kind of a jerk. He always hides, he's a very picky eater, he gets stressed out over everything and refuses to eat for days. I've tried everything I can think to do to please this fish, but apparently I'm doing something wrong. This is where you come in: if you reach out to me and can convince me that you'd make a better home for this fish, I'm happy to re-home him to you for free. He needs at least 20+ gallons, needs to be the only fish in the tank, and has to have frozen food (he loves bloodworms). Hopefully you have experience with puffers and can work some magic on this fish. I'm trying to do the right thing here, so I hope you are too. Thanks for looking!
