Locksmith trainee - Full Time Aames Lock & Safe Co. is currently looking for candidates interested in a career as a locksmith with advancement opportunities into the electronic locksmith field. This position is the training ground for the present and future of locks used in commercial building applications. We are a commercial work based company growing steadily in Southern California and work throughout all of So Cal, from Ventura to the border of Mexico and everywhere in between. Our base location is in the city of Orange, centering us to reach our job sites in a timely manner. Locksmith Trainee Skills to learn and duties include, but are not limited to: 1. Key Identification & Duplication 2. Hardware Identification & Terminology 3. Rekeying Locks 4. Basic Master Keying 5. Lock Replacement & Simple Installations 6. Installations, repairs and adjustments of hardware may include carrying and climbing ladders, lifting hardware and tools weighing up to 50lbs. 7. Installations, repairs and adjustments of doors, door closers 8. Picking & impression keys for locks This is just the beginning of what you will be learning. Advancements into the electronic field of door locks is the ultimate goal for our locksmith trainees. As an electronic tech you would learn the application of similar mechanical locks as a locksmith, but with the addition of electronic release as it relates to access control and low voltage. Advanced techs get the use of a company van, paid gas, insurance and maintenance. All tools are supplied by the company along with uniforms, boots, hats and everything we need for you to look and be a successful field technician.
