Description
Our dog Charlie is a Cavachon (Cavalier/Bichon hybrid breed). He has an indiscriminate eating behavior, but he is a great dog!! He is nearly 2 years old and I would like to see him go to a good home that has more time to devote to him. He is hypoallergenic and sheds very rarely. He is wonderful with kids and loves people. He is very submissive with animals and has never shown any aggression to another dog. Not sure how he'd be around cats. He listens to commands, sit, stay, come here, drop it, leave it, heel and eat. He's a good dog except for the sneaking grabbing whatever he can and then hiding and eating it. He'll eat rocks, acorns, socks, any food, toys, the stuffing from toys he will actually consume, drinks urine from my toddler's potty if I'm not watching, he licks the ground in the house constantly picking up lint and whatever else he can find. It's constant. His tail is constantly wagging and he doesn't seem anxious. He's a smart dog and seems to be loving outsmarting the humans to get to whatever he's after. I try to keep the house and yard as clean as I can but it doesn't matter, he finds something. Once he grabbed a butterfly out of the sky and ate it. I supervise him closely because I don't want him to get sick but he waits for the moment I'm distracted and slinks off to get something and then hides to eat it. I don't want him to live his whole life in his crate but that seems to be the only safe place for him and I don't need to supervise him and I can let my guard down. By the way he is trained to only eat his dog food when he hears the word eat and he does great with that. We got him a bowl that allows him to slow down and eat and help him feel full longer but who knows if that works. He still figured out how to eat fast!! Other than the indiscriminate eating he's a lovely fun dog that would make anyone a great companion. He is neutered. He will come with a crate, dog bowls, grooming supplies, dog brush, shampoo, dog toys & bones, a leash and collar, tons of doggie bags, dog food, dog probiotics & vitamins, 3 month supply of Simparica and Christmas pajamas. Hes up to date on all his vaccines. He's a well loved dog but I have a special needs child and other children as well and because I love Charlie I know he's best in a home that has the energy needed to monitor him very closely and love him with all their heart.
