Description
The House Flies with Haze & Plague Dad ALL AGES The House Flies with Haze & Plague Dad The House Flies are a collective of Highschool friends that started making music back in 2018. They play punk rock/ garage rock with their 4 piece band. Graydon Burr and Evan Boston- Cole write/sing/ and play guitar, the drums are beat by Jacob Cao, and the bass is slapped by Andy Khiev. HAZE Four high school seniors in an alternative rock band... Well thats how to put it simply. They must suck right? Well, you would think so. Living in Gorham, Maine hasn’t really given them all that much to do, sparing a lot of free time towards playing music and developing a realization for the art that it truly is. Lead singer/songwriter/guitarist Luc Anthony and Guitarist Mason Landré started the idea for the band in 2018 after jamming together while Mason was still learning how to play, since then they’ve gathered best companions Will Boylen on bass and Gavin Lavoie on drums to make the band what it is today- a sometimes psychedelic, sometimes metal, sometimes acoustic, sometimes straight to the point rock band. At the cusp of 18 years old, they’ve realized this is what they want to do for the rest of their lives. As of now there is about nothing that is going to stop them. From all of us in Haze, we hope you check us out. Our live shows will only get better and better with chemistry and energy to spare! And real music y’all can relate to. We not only want to leave our mark in the Portland scene, but the whole world. Love to all of our fans and supporters forever and beyon Plague Dad is a high-energy, #grungefolk duo out of Portland, Maine. Frank Gallagher (vocals, 6- and 12-string guitars, mandolin and banjo) and Miguel Sanchez (vocals, bongo, spoons, stomp box and what have you) have honed their sound busking for hours around Portland, and playing parties and club dates throughout Maine. Plague Dad’s become skilled at not just commanding attention, but rewarding it, and the audience is growing. Plague Dad delivers an authentic and compelling sound, crafted with steel strings and mahogany, calfskin and oak, drawing on a repertoire of tightly crafted original material and the occasional well-curated cover; the Plague Dad sound draws you in: taut, sparse melodies and hauntingly urgent grooves that somehow fill the room, big or small. One writer called it two parts Stanley Brothers and three parts Minutemen — and a Plague Dad set is just as likely to feature a song from the one as it is from the other — but a growing number of folks who’ve caught them live don’t really care what the label says, they just like what they hear, because Plague Dad connects. An all ages all inclusive music venue supporting the arts in their many forms.
