Leading furniture retail store in Northern Westchester County is seeking the right individual to join their warehouse team that supports all warehouse and showroom planning functions. The Warehouse Associate will work mainly in Bedford Hills, NY with occasional times working in Brewster, NY. Must be energetic, highly organized, strong, focused and have a good driving record in order to operate company vehicles. Must have a positive, upbeat attitude and be able to work as part of a team. Job tasks change throughout the day to meet the diverse needs of an active environment so flexibility is very important. Responsibilities include but are not limited to furniture moving, rearranging showrooms, assisting customers with pickups, loading and unloading trucks, opening and inspecting furniture, furniture assembly requiring use of hand tools, preparing furniture for delivery, in-home service calls, fork lift operation and interfacing with store staff. Requirements include good reading and writing skills, an easy-going and polite demeanor, basic computer and email knowledge. Carpentry, furniture repair, furniture handling and/or furniture delivery experience is also a plus. Compensation is based on experience. Full-time and Part-time positions available.
