Love is strong The Black Love Day Ball! Black love day was created in 1993 by Ayo Handy-Kendi to honor love amongst black people. Mama Ayo's goal was to remind us to be patient, loving, caring, forgiving and regain unity amongst each other. Love is shown through a mother and her child, fathers, sisters, brothers, grandparents, cousins and every inch of reflection of yourself. The goal is to do just that on a regular basis every year, regulating our community coming together in unity of love. We are seeking out sponsors and donations to make our 1st BLD one to remember.
