Screening of Feature Film "American Cherry" Directed by Marcella Cytrynowicz and Starring Leonor Varela, Matty Cardarople, & Hart Denton Set in small town, low-income suburbia, “American Cherry” follows a teenage girl who must navigate her freedom and personal identity within a fractured, dysfunctional family. Varela plays her mother, suffering with mental illness and substance abuse, and Denton plays the boy next door who becomes the object of her fascination. The Chandler International Film Festival (CIFF) began in 2016 with a simple idea to share international films in a local setting. CIFF is proudly located in Chandler, Arizona and is one of the fastest-growing film festivals in Arizona. The festival is dedicated to uniting the community through the film--whether you’re a filmmaker or a casual viewer there is something for everyone.
