Coach Retreats provide training and networking opportunities for AR-NICA coaches. The AR-NICA Coach Retreats are coming to locations throughout the state in the Spring of 2022. This event will be in Little Rock, AR. Shift Modern Cyclery is providing a comfortable space with nearby outdoor teaching areas and trails. There are many registration options to allow coaches to attend the portion of the weekend that best matches their training needs and interests. Please review the options below carefully. Get the bike skills you need to work with student-athletes. OTB 101 is a requirement to become a Level 2 NICA coach.Coach retreat workshops. Go beyond #morekidsonbikes. Let's discuss positive coaching methods and long-term planning to help you, your team, and your student-athletes, to be the best they can be. Attending a Leaders' Summit previously is required. Attendees will get 8 CEU's which are required to maintain their Level 2 or 3 NICA coach license.Sunday options: On The Bike Skills 201. Intermediate bike skills to better support the progression of your student-athletes. OTB 101 is a prerequisite. Attendees will get 5 CEU's which are required to maintain their Level 2 or 3 NICA coach license.NICA First Aid. Be prepared for incidents that may occur during practice. This 8-hour training is required for Level 3 NICA coaches.Each day will begin at 8:30 am. Morning coffee and mid-day lunch will be provided each day.
