Spearheaded by Sunrise Mayor Michael J. Ryan, in cooperation with mayors from throughout Broward County, the Mayors’ Chess Challenge draws attention to the benefits of chess in both the academic environment and in our community. Players of all ages and skill levels are welcome. Instructors from the Sunrise Center for Excellence in Chess will be on hand to help those new to the game.
