NEW YORK CITY — Pop-up COVID-19 testing sites are available at two New York City subway stations today, with five more sites opening Thursday.
PCR tests are now available in Manhattan at the Times Square-42nd Street station from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. At Grand Central Terminal, the test site is open from 3-8 p.m.
The Metropolitan Transit Authority announced the walk-in test sites will be offered seven days a week, with testing funded by the state. No appointment is required for the tests. Anyone, including visitors, may get a COVID test at one of these sites.
The following sites will open Dec. 30, according to the MTA:
Penn Station (Manhattan), Monday – Sunday, 3-8 p.m.Broadway Junction (Brooklyn), Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.E. 180th St (Bronx), Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.Roosevelt Ave (Queens), Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.Jamaica–179th St (Queens), Monday – Friday, 2– 7 p.m. All sites will be closed on New Year's Day.
