Description

* Perform inspections, complete preventive maintenance services such as, engine tune-ups, brakes, oil changes, filters. * Confirm vehicle functional condition by conducting inspections, test drives and operating all vehicle systems and components, diagnose electrical system malfunctions; replace defective parts and components; repair light body damage. * Experience with some or all the following: Remove & replace AC compressors, timing chains, valve cover gaskets, suspension components, steering components, brakes, etc. * Enhance vehicle appearance by cleaning, washing, touch up painting and minor autobody repair * Maintain vehicle records by recording service and repairs. * Keeps shop equipment operating efficiently by following operating safety instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; * Manage costs and vehicle turnaround time by evaluating vehicle needs and ordering appropriate repair parts. * Keeps supplies in stock; placing orders; verifying receipt. * Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
