Here are the top stories in Buffalo today: A Code Blue was issued for Buffalo and Southern Erie County on Monday night and will extend through Tuesday. The Rural Outreach Center on Hunters Creek Road and the former women's shelter on Genesee Street will both be open today (Dec. 28) to serve as warming centers for anyone who needs shelter from the cold temperatures and snow showers. Buffalo residents can receive Code Blue updates by texting CodeBlueBuffalo to 898-211. (WGRZ.com)Four people were injured during a shooting on Jefferson Avenue on Sunday. Authorities say the incident happened inside a pop-up store on the street's 1300 block, where three women and a man were shot. The victims' injuries were non-life-threatening, and they are all in stable condition. Police have not yet made an arrest in the case. (WIVB.com - News 4)Two preservation projects in the City of Buffalo were awarded prizes for Excellence in Historic Rehabilitation. The recipients were the Kreiner Malt House and Grain Elevator on Elk Street and the Northland Corridor Beltline project on the East Side.
