ARLINGTON, VA — A man fired a gun multiple times at a bus stop in Shirlington on Dec. 22 after he refused to pay a bus fare, according to the Arlington County Police Department. At around 9:45 p.m. last Wednesday, Arlington County police were dispatched to the 2900 block of S. Quincy Street for the report of a man with a gun. "Upon arrival, it was determined that the unknown male suspect entered onto the bus and attempted to ride without paying," the police said in an incident report. "The driver requested payment and after the suspect refused, stepped off the bus and asked the suspect to follow. The suspect allegedly brandished what is believed to be an air soft gun and fired multiple times." The suspect then fled the scene on foot, got on another bus and left the area before the police arrived, according to the ACPD.
