POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ — Unseasonably warm days have encouraged people to get out and enjoy the fresh air at the boardwalk. And while the crowds that jammed the boards in the summer months may be gone, that doesn't mean it's time to bring your canine companions to stroll the boards with you, Point Pleasant Beach police said recently. The police department posted a reminder on Facebook just before Christmas: "Reminder! Although winter is here, NO dogs are permitted on the boardwalk at ANY time! The ordinance is enforced year-round, so PLEASE do not bring dogs onto the boardwalk. Thank you for your anticipated cooperation!"
