Congratulations to the Debate Team on another come from behind performance. LT took 6th place out of 20 schools and was led with victories by: Ben Dreves Hunt, Sophomore (LaGrange) - Best Tournament Legislation Aidan Joyce, Senior (LaGrange) - 2nd Place Speaker Ro Martini, Senior (Burr Ridge) - Best Tournament Legislation Elle St. Arnaud, Freshman (Indian Head Park) - 1st Place Speaker Sophia Szymanski, Sophomore (LaGrange) - 1st Place Speaker Adrian Walker, Senior (LaGrange Park) - 2nd Place Speaker Students involved in Congressional Debate follow the procedures of the senators and representatives in Washington D.C. They write legislation, work in committees, and debate their own bills and resolutions. Speeches are judged, points are accumulated, and both individual and team trophies are awarded by point totals and student voting.
