Press release from the City of Shakopee: 12/27/2021 9:01 am The City of Shakopee's trash hauler will change from Republic Services to Dick's Sanitation Inc. (DSI) on Jan. 1. DSI is offering Christmas tree recycling for an additional fee of $20. To have your real Christmas tree collected and recycled, contact DSI by calling 952-469-2239 prior to your usual collection day the weeks of Jan. 2 and Jan. 9.  For the safety of DSI's drivers, trees that are 10 feet and over must be cut in half.
