CHARLOTTE, NC — Officer Mia Goodwin will be laid to rest on Wednesday, Dec. 29, according to Alexander Funerals. Visitation is scheduled at First Baptist Church at 301 S. Davidson Street in Charlotte from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Her service follows at noon. Goodwin was killed Dec. 22 after responding to a crash. While there, an 18-wheeler slammed into her police cruiser, killing her. She leaves behind a firefighter husband and three children. The truck driver involved in the incident was charged in her death.
