Work location will be determined in advance of hire and/or work assignment.  The position is responsible for adhering to all Goodwill policies and procedures and meeting Goodwill quality standards.    QUALIFICATIONS:   Minimum Qualifications:  A High School Diploma or G.E.D. An Associate’s Degree is preferred.  A valid Colorado driver’s license without a history of violations is also required, with the ability to travel within local work locations when required.  The incumbent must be able to work some weekends and holidays as necessary.   Incumbent must be able to pass an extensive background investigation.  Five to ten years of previous experience in supervision of janitorial employees, with knowledge of cleaning chemicals, janitorial equipment and cleaning technologies.   The incumbent must conduct self in a professional manner conducive to a productive work environment; must demonstrate good judgment, responsibility, and initiative.  The incumbent should possess effective interpersonal skills including the ability to supervise people, work cooperatively, to organize work, and make good decisions.  The incumbent must maintain a professional appearance appropriate for the work setting.    Preferred competencies:   • Certified Executive Housekeeper (CEH) credentials   • Knowledge Green Clean technologies   KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:   Contract Management   The Supervisor will develop and maintain clean, safe work conditions within the facility and surrounding area, set the example for subordinates to emulate which will serve as a model for high standards. In addition, the Supervisor will advise the Site Manager through formal and informal means on the overall operation and work flow, sharing pertinent information related to customer demands, quality control problems, material shortages and personnel needs.    Overall Support and Quality Focus   The Supervisor will ensure all work is performed in accordance with the Statement of Work, with adherence to all required quality control measures.  In addition, applicants are required to attend all mandated Goodwill training and Safety meetings.    Staff Supervision   The Supervisor will review cleaning procedures and maintain correct staffing levels, as necessary. The Supervisor will supervise Work Leads and conduct Monthly Staff and Training meetings.  The Supervisor will provide guidance to assigned work leaders, employees, and trainees who work within the department to maintain contract requirements.   Relationship Management    The Supervisor will assist in department budgets, equipment requirements and purchases.   Supervisor must conduct a physical inventory of janitorial supplies on a weekly basis and submit it to the Site Manager.  You will also be required to work with Quality Control Inspectors, Building Managers, and customers daily.   **13.2 Background checks are required by Utilities for specific projects, it is the responsibility of Contractor to conduct a 7 year criminal background check on each employee working on a project and forward the results to the designated Utilities’ representative.  A 3rd party vendor shall conduct these checks. Endorsed vendors are Background Information Services (), S2 Verify (), or Hire Right (). The minimum acceptable background checks required by Utilities are comprised of a 7 year Statement of History (encompassing full name, alias used, residences, education, employment, citizenship, and military history), a Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) record check, a National Criminal check, and a National Sex offender check. The designated Utilities’ representative will forward all the required documents of the background check listed above to the Security Planning & Compliance team for review.
