Float / Fill-in - Commercial Janitor

Established commercial office cleaning company offering a part-time Float/Fill-in position. The position fills in during the absences of regular cleaning employees and may perform special projects on occasion. The position involves working at a variety of locations and situations. Reliable transportation is required. Typical duties include: • Emptying trash/recyclables • Dusting • Vacuuming, using upright and/or backpack vacuum • Sweeping, dry and damp mopping • Restrooms: clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, toilets and mirrors; stock supplies Flexible schedule Monday-Friday, typically 1.5 to 3 hours each evening. All equipment and supplies are provided. Training and extra support is provided throughout your first few weeks, with ongoing supervision and communication. Cleaning experience preferred, but not required. Requirements: • Age 18 and older • Able to communicate clearly in English – both written and spoken • Comfortable performing a job that keeps you moving continuously • Ability to follow directions in a fast-paced work environment • Have your own phone and vehicle with proof of insurance • Drug-free and must pass a background check Desired Qualities: • Quality-conscious • Self-motivated • Ability to work quickly and efficiently • Strong attendance, dependable • Positive, professional demeanor All candidates must be able to meet the following physical demands: • Walk and stand for extended periods of time • Bend and kneel down • Wear a backpack vacuum and/or use an upright vacuum for extended periods of time • Lift up to 25 pounds frequently; lift up to 50 pounds periodically • Repetitive bending, twisting, reaching, pushing and pulling movements If interested, email your resume and/or cover letter with a brief description of what you're looking for and how the Floater/Fill-in position may fit into your needs and schedule.
