Meet Abbie, 26 Years Old and from Great Britain Abbie worked as an au pair in Reno in 2018 and Colorado in 2019, and would love to return to the Reno-Tahoe area for her 3rd year as an au pair. She is available to begin her new year anytime between February and April of 2022. Not only does Abbie have years of childcare experience, she also has a big heart and great empathy when working with children with behavioral difficulties. She understands that children have different needs, and she works hard to connect with each of them individually. She successfully homeschooled her Colorado host children during COVID, and thrived doing so by making the best of it, often researching ways to make the sessions more engaging for the kids. She has also cared for 4 host kids at one time, and did so with a smile! Her Reno LCC knows her well, and agrees that she is a fun loving, hardworking, and shows up each day with a joyful mood and a big smile. More about Abbie: •Infant and Adult CPR trained •Native English speaker •Experienced driver with excellent winter driving experience •Enjoys hiking and skiing •Loves board games, puzzles, and arts and crafts This is a full-time, live-in position: •45 hours per week, just over $9 per hour (per family, not per child) •Au pairs can also do light housekeeping, laundry, and cooking related to the children.
