Hey guys, I’m looking to start up a metal band here in Greensboro. I’d like it to be an original band, although we will definitely play some covers as well. I would like the music to be in the vein of doom metal, bands like Khemmis or Type O negative, however I like all types of metal so we can definitely do some power metal, black metal or whatever. My main thing is I’d like every member of the band to contribute to the writing process, the more ideas from different people blended the better. A little about me, I’m 21, living in Greensboro. I sing mainly, and I have been for about 6 years now. I also play rhythm guitar, and little bass. I was formerly the frontman of Pageant so I have a good amount of experience playing with a group and some stage practice as well. I have a solid amount of equipment, but everyone will need their own. I do have a PA system as well. What I’m looking for in members: Drummer- any type of drummer is cool, drums are one of those things you know it when you hear it Bass- nice solid groove, able to bridge the gap between guitar and drums well Lead guitar- mainly just a strong soloer, with unique ideas for riffs that play well with the rhythm as well (Open to rhythm as well, I don’t mind singing exclusively but I definitely would like 2 guitarists) Anyhow, reach out if you’d like to chat and see what’s up!
