Description

Looking for a good home for a great dog! I adopted Annie as a rescue when she was 2, she is 9 now. She has been a wonderful dog. She is sweet, mellow, never barks, gets along with cats and other dogs, and is perfectly housetrained. She has gone to a senior living facility every day for the past two years with me as I take care of my mom there. She is adored by all the residents-- they fight over getting to pet and hug her. She is in great health. Seems way younger than nine. I am looking to re-home her because I am getting remarried and my finance'e has a dog too. We are not allowed to have two dogs where we will be living. I dread the idea of giving up Annie, but if I can find a home where she will be loved and given a great dog life, I think I can get over losing her. Annie needs an owner who will take her for a walk almost every day. She can easily and happily walk a mile or more. She prefers to go to woodsy parks for walks rather than city sidewalks. She loves to run off leash and has done that her whole life. I have a $500 tracker collar for her which I would give to you as the new owner. But the land I have been taking her too is being developed so we are not going to be able to go there anymore off leash soon. Hoping I might be able to find somebody who can find places to run her off leash but I know that might not be possible. If you could give her nice long walks on leash in woods I think she could live with that. But please don't reply to this ad if you just plan to let her out in your yard, as this would be a very depressing life for her. She has been to dog parks and gets along with other dogs but she really prefers walks in the woods with her owner. She is 60 pounds and strong so not good for a frail person!
