Cleaning hvac boilers

HVAC contractor told me that my older boilers need to be cleaned?? The chimney is fine but the inner workings of the boiler make it so that the carbon monoxide in menoxide is not venting venting properly. He used a flashlight it's the flashlight and a shadow and told me that it had to be done. Hes a trustworthy guy so I believe that it has to be done but he is booked up for 3 weeks. Anybody know anybody skilled with HVAC boilers? I need somebody who knows how to do this as I don't want them messing it up in the Winter months.
