Description

I CAN MEET IN THE MURFREESBORO/CHRISTIANA AREA Need to rehome my 11-week-old wire-haired pointing griffon/half husky BY DECEMBER 29. I am asking a rehoming fee. He comes with what food he has left, a collar, a leash, 3 puppy toys, microchip info & can show proof of his shot records. He is UTD on shots & isn’t due again til JAN 11th for his 3rd round of boosters. He is UTD on flea/tick & heartworm/parasite prevention which is due again on JAN 22. He is currently 19 lbs and is expected to be around 60ish pounds(give or take) full grown. He will be a medium to large dog full grown please keep that in mind. He was the biggest in his litter and was born 10/10/2021 He's very sweet, loveable and definitely trainable. He is VERY playful but he's a puppy so of course =). He hates the crate, but I've been doing as my vet suggested with trying to get him acclimated to it as well as a routine. I have started to teach him "sit" which he got very quickly but he still needs a lot more work as he's not used to anything other than being told "NO" (previous owners work not mine) which he usually listens to. He did very well in PetSmart, and while on walks. He does not react to other dogs barking and chaos, he is very alert of sounds and anything moving(car, animal, person ect). He needs leash training, but I've been using a Herm Sprenger (martingale style) collar and he is doing well with it but again training is in his best interest! He isn't a barker outside the house so far. Inside is a completely different story though. He does well with the cats he doesn't bother them much he does try to play occasionally but they run away lol. Overall he’s in no way animal aggressive and I see no issues with him being in a home with cats. He is VERY much a jumper, meaning he likes to jump all over you. Overall, he is proving to be a lot more challenging than I can handle when it comes to the potty-training part, he is very different than my anxiety ridden family dog, and I am just not able to manage the potty & crate training with my mental health it has become extremely overwhelming for me as well as 2 of my special needs children. I initially got him to be a possible service dog, but I have come to realize it's in my best interest to suffer it out and try to save some money for a few years to get an already 100% trained dog vs trying to raise one myself, then send him for obedience training then SD training to be trained for my specific needs which is going the more affordable route but it is taking a major toll on my mental health that I didn’t expect.
