Learn the basics of clothing construction, weaving techniques, and pattern making to create a minimal waste, unique and beautiful garment.
Learn the basics of clothing construction, weaving techniques, and the basics of pattern making to create a minimal waste, unique and beautiful garment using needle weaving. Together we will explore surface design by creative use of colors, textures, and non-traditional materials. We’ll deconstruct garments to understand their construction and make patterns to fit ourselves. Then using our weaving techniques, we’ll construct a one of a kind garment. We’ll end our five weeks with a mini fashion show to share our work. No prior experience with weaving or sewing needed!
This five-week workshop runs from January 20th through February 17th and is designed for students ages 13 to 17. A $75.00 deposit will hold your spot and go toward your full tuition of $200.
Sign up for both beginner and intermediate weaving for only $299!
