Design and create your own tapestry sampler In this five-week introductory textiles workshop, students will learn basic weaving techniques using a frame loom. We’ll explore tapestry styles from around the world and then dive into designing and creating our own tapestry samplers. Students will have the chance to explore non-traditional materials and combine patterns and textiles in unique ways. This workshop runs five Wednesdays from January 19th-February 16th; 9:30AM-11:00AM and is designed for students ages 9-12. Katy Riley is a multidisciplinary artist who focuses on using traditional craft techniques to create contemporary imagery. She likes to have fun creating iconography of everyday objects and scenes with fine craft skills.
