WitchTit (Raleigh Doom): This band collides doom, stoner and sludge metal on their debut full-length, Intoxicating Lethargy, that they released in March 2021. Prepare yourself to be dragged to the depths of struggle, resistance and mental strife, only to emerge stronger than before. Dark storytelling will take you through time and across our country to all of the places these battles exist. You can pay first-hand witness to how they tap into the DNA of classic doom of Candlemass, the abrasive and greasy wailing of Rwake and the bluesy swagger of Witch Mountain and how the vocals tie it all together with soaring, soulful pipes. Listen to Witchtit here. Tel (Richmond Doom): Some music awakens carnal instincts; some appeals more to the cerebral side of human nature. TEL is the ideal balance of the poles. The vocals are sung with an air of lament (at times even mystery), with excursions into murky growls (a nod to the stormy nature of emotional life). A welcome injection of Sleepish psychedelia puts this Richmond, Virginia quartet in a category all its own. Listen to Tel here. StormWatchers (Charlotte Psych): With the natural warmth of deep heavy guitars and soulful vocals from Celeste, the thunderous groove and punk sensibilities of Thomas, and the low vintage bass tones and vocals being rounded out by Matt, the trio have continued honing their skills to manifest a singular vision and a signature sound. Listen to StormWatchers here. Bedowyn (Raleigh Heavy Metal): Bedowyn has been employing galloping riffs infused with marching drums to take their listeners on a fiery journey while peering into mankind’s darkest evils since 2011.Combining elements of classic metal and thrash riffs with a layer of doom rock and stoner flare on top, the Raleigh four-piece slams the door on any singular metal sub-genre, drawing from every reach of the rock universe. Listen to Bedowyn here. Record shop by day. Live music venue by night. Raleigh's home for all things music featuring national and locally touring bands, an extensive vinyl record selection and two full bars.
