Description
I have two lovely 7 month Old German Owl Pigeons in need of rehoming, Cioccolata, a dna male, and Secco, a dna female. They are paired up, but still greatly enjoy human interaction. Cio is very friendly and loyal. He can be protective of Secco, but is highly trainable. Secco is super intelligent, but can be more aloof. She is still a highly trainable and an easy to work with bird. They have lost some of their training due to reasons I will bring up, but they were both previously taught basic flight recall, step up, step down, and how to give a kiss. My plan for them were to keep them as housepets, being very sweet and easy to handle. Both birds are UTD on worming and trich treatments and I have full vet records for both of them. The main thing to be aware about Cio is that he has a chronic diarrhea issue. We've been through countless vet trips and testing which have not led to anything solid. Because of that there has been a ton of quarantine time with limited interactions. That being said it has proven to not be contagious or degenerative. He and Secco have been on a multitude of drugs and Secco, nor any of the people Cio has had contact with, shows no sign of any issues. I would not choose to breed Cio due to the possibility of this problem being hereditary, but both birds are proven fertile and are good nesters. I would prefer local pickup and for them go to a home with a loft sytem where they would still get human interaction or as housepets with someone who can keep up on cleanup for Cio. They will come with a bag of the food they've been on. I am asking a $20 rehoming fee for both of them together. They would not be being rehomed if it weren't for Cio's chronic issues. If the post is still up they are still available. Please contact me to talk more, thank you.
