Description

Do you have a lazy, and/or boring dog? I am having the exact opposite problem. Ozzie is an 8 month old Mini Aussie shepherd, and we are not well matched. He is energetic and athletic, and I am, well, not. He is very friendly, loving and loves to please. He is also great with kids (I have two younger kids) and doesn't bite, although he will "play bite". The problem is that Ozzie goes and goes and goes. If he's bored (which is most of the time), he can be obnoxious. He will chew up anything that resembles a toy, and if you give him a stuffed animal, he will have it drawn, quartered and unstuffed in short order. I know that most of this is puppy energy, but I think that a lot of it is just his breed. What he really needs is a younger owner who loves to walk - a lot (Ozzie does well on walks)! He would probably do well even on a jog. If he has a big backyard to run around in, that would be ideal, and other dogs as playmates would also be good for him (although he does annoy the heck out of my cat... they are still friends though). Basically he needs someone who understands his high-energy needs and can accommodate him. He also loves tugging and is strong! I've built up my arms a bit playing tug with him. On the other hand, I would like a dog that is low on energy, and even considered "boring". One that loves to sit or lie around all the time and isn't easily coaxed into long walks, aside from the daily trip to the mailbox. I would like for him (or her) to be around the same age or a bit older, and preferably a non-shedder. Breed isn't important, although I am not partial to Pit Bulls (sorry). I think the most important thing is that he is loveable and friendly and will not bite. And is good with a cat and kids. Also, no major health problems please. I would also like for the dog to be neutered or spayed, and have all shots current (Ozzie is neutered and has all shots) If you think we could make a good trade, please contact me and tell me a bit about your dog. If it feels right, lets consider moving forward on a trade! Thanks for your consideration. Mike and Ozzie
