Press release from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office: Joni Money December 25, 2021 Around 11:20 on Christmas Day, Jefferson County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to Carson Road at Johnson Drive in Northeast Jefferson County to investigate a single vehicle automobile accident.  According to reports, the driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.  An adult passenger and 4 children (ages unknown) were transported to UAB and Children's Hospitals for treatment of their injuries. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Traffic Reconstruction Team is investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident. This press release was produced by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.
