Beautiful, Sweet 5-Year-Old Sheltie Needs New Home

Sadly, I need to find a new home for my beautiful, sweet 5-Year-Old Sheltie. Claire has been a family dog her whole life with lots of people around. I have owned her since she was 8 weeks old. I am recently widowed, and relocating to a new home where I cannot have a dog. I am looking for a specific kind of home for Claire. She has always had a fenced yard and a doggie door. She has never had accidents in the house, but I am concerned if she suddenly had to live in a home where she was just taken for walks twice a day she might not adjust to this. Claire was attacked by a Pitbull on a leash walk when she was very young so she tends to be very timid about going for walks, though if you worked with her she would probably come to enjoy them. But she is happy just hanging out in a yard. She is very affectionate, well trained, and gets along well with other dogs. Please do not contact me if you do not have a fenced yard or if you are a busy person who cannot give her the time and attention she deserves. I am very sad to be giving her up and want her to go to a home that will give her a happy life. Home visit and references required! If you would happen to be open to the idea of me visiting occasionally that would be a bonus! But not required.
