Around 10:20 p.m., Sunday night, Dec. 26, I saw a dog running south in the grass along South Union St. on South Union Elementary's grounds. It was east of the sidewalk. This was during the thunderstorm just a few minutes after a very loud thunder clap. It was raining hard. Possibly got out of its yard and was running in fear from the thunderstorm. It appeared to be a medium/large dog and possibly short-haired and brown. It also looked like it had a red vest or harness on. When it got past the fence around the picnic shelter, it appeared to go farther into the school grounds as it headed south. I watched for several minutes but didn't see it come out to the sidewalk.
