In Chicago, the number of shooting victims reached 4,270 on Sunday Meanwhile, homicides have increased 5 percent, from 749 to 783, making the Windy City the deadliest in the nation. “Right now, today, there are simply too many violent people walking our streets and wreaking havoc in our neighborhoods,” Lightfoot said Monday.
