๐บ๐ถ๐บ๐ต๐บ๐ถ๐บ๐ต๐บ๐ถ๐บ๐ต๐บ๐ถ๐บ "ยกFeliz navidad, prรณspero aรฑo y felicidad!" - Josรฉ Feliciano, since 1970 ๐บ๐ถ๐บ๐ถ๐บ๐ถ๐บ๐ถ๐บ๐ถ๐บ๐ถ๐บ๐ถ๐บ I have and play several plastic musical instruments : plastic Trumpet, plastic Flugelhorn, plastic Nuvo jHorn, plastic Eb Alto Trombone, plastic Bb Tenor Trombone and plastic Melodica (see my pics). Did any of you receive any plastic musical instruments for Christmas? Interested in playing them with others? I recently bought a Tromba plastic Flugelhorn. It is well designed and built and plays just great! It's my very favorite plastic Horn. I play it in key of A. I also recently bought a Nuvo jHorn. Am still sorting thru various metal mouthpieces for the Nuvo jHorn to sound decent in lower register, as it's really a Tenor Horn in Bb, but a Trombone cup is just too big for this Horn. Alto Horn mouthpieces work best for the jHorn. It does sound great it upper register, tho! I was hoping to find other musicians in Albuquerque who also play plastic instruments, particularly Horns. My intentions are to have us harmonize. I'm going for sound, not technique. I was thinking of we playing music in a city park, or even at one of the Community Center parks (Manzano-Mesa is nearest to me), in the open air and sunshine of New Mexico. We may start with simple tunes, like nursery songs (even christmas songs, at this season) or open to suggestions. We may play more intricate tunes, depending on the skill levels of members. Busking!: I used to busk in the center of Nob Hill, in front of the Chocolate Dude. Busking with others again would be just great! Does anyone know of decent locations where we may busk? Nob Hill is not as busy as pre-lockdown, altho getting better. Downtown may still be a bit risky. Sheer love of playing music is my prime motivation and intent. Kunst Stoff is my plastic instrument playing name, from kunst ("artificial") and stoff ("stuff"), rendered as "plastic" in German. Let me know your interest in joining. Thank you for looking!
