Description

Goldie was adopted by me 12/20/21 from HSPPR and she has been an absolute joy to be with she's a warm, gentle, loving companion. There are, however, a couple issues of compatibility between her and the home I can provide. Most importantly, Goldie needs to have animal friends and I cannot commit to getting a second dog. Her previous owner stated she was good with cats, dogs, and children so it's a good bet she was in a home with a very social atmosphere. Goldie was taken to her 'complimentary' vet exam on 12/23/21 and her health is very good. I did discover a slight/brief limp in her right rear leg after getting up from resting after a walk a 2 1/2 hour walk.. When limiting her walks to under an hour there have been no issues, but her owner should know that while she loves walks, she probably isn't going to be able to go on long day hikes multiple days in a row on a backpacking trip. She needs daily exercise, but it should be moderate like a nice brisk 60-minute daily walk. At 59 pounds she's slightly overweight, but it is not medically concerning I currently have her on a diet so I can let you know how she responds. There is much more information to cover, but a conversation on the phone is the way to go. She needs a fenced yard, you need to own your home, all the basics will be checked. I have her vet records and licensing certificates and I will provide you with food as well as her kong toy she just learned how to use plus treats for kong stuffing among other items. Her adoption fee is $100 which does not cover my own expenses but that's fine as long as she goes to an outstanding home. I have fostered a dog once before so find this to be a better option than returning her to the shelter. She was adopted within 30 minutes of being available and it was my twelfth visit to the shelter in two weeks. Dogs like her get adopted very fast if you wait for a photo of them to be online they will definitely be gone by the time you get to the shelter. So that's how I got her is by showing up right at 11am. Sorry the photo is not good at all she looks much happier and buoyant with joy in person! :) This was the shelter photo when she was quite stressed. Please include your phone # and a good time to call when you email me. If you have just a couple essential make or break questions email will suffice no problem. We can talk if you're still interested after. There is a deadline as I have an appointment to return her to the shelter Tuesday, December 28th. I can cancel the appointment and extend her stay with me if you need more time I'm enjoying her very much but get in touch before Tuesday.
