Description

ianecho.bandcamp.com hey all, I am a amateur producer singer/songwriter. I make retro-reggae-pop music. think UB40 meets Fat Freddy's drop. Anyway, the more content I create the more I think it would be great to connect with talented players/artists to either put together a live show, or to help me create new tracks. I am a pretty solid vocalist and think I have a good ear for songwriting. but I am limited by my actual musicianship. while I can write parts for all the instruments, I gotta believe that in the hands of more talented musicians we could be unstoppable! haha I could use.. a production Ninja wizard who is into the stuff I'm writing and wants to help out. or- drummer- who plays an electric kit. for ease of production, but also there are many different sounds required song to song. likes Stewart Copeland's style. female singer- for soul backups/duets and I can write a lead or two for you. you'd be the bands Sheila E. (think Prince if ya don't know the reference..) bass player- I really love that simple bouncy UB40 style.. but I'm interested in someone that knows classic reggae like the back of his bass. guitar- I have a guy for rad creative leads.. but I don't know that he'd ever want to play this stuff live. so I'm open to anyone who thinks out of the box. keys- I could probably use one or two synth-heads. most of my stuff is classic synth based. basically I live and die in the Arturia classic synth's collection. BONUS if any of you can sing. I write a TON of large harmony parts. probably from my younger days doing barbershop quartet stuff.. please check out my stuff to get an idea of what I do. I just completed "little bird" but I included an unmixed version of "Old boy" cause its a cool song that shows some more range within the reggae-pop genre. if interested, please let me know a little bit about yourself and included any links to something you've created or worked on. thanks everyone, and merry xmas, saturnalia, etc etc
