Description

Talk it Out is an open conversation series where we talk about the thoughts, feelings, and emotions that society pretends doesn't exist. Topic: Sharing Our Art with Friends for the First Time:Re-Introducing yourself as an artist to your friends and family is bold. Sharing your art with your friends and family for the first time takes courage, and sometimes... a drink 🥃! During this Talk it Out, we'll be sharing stories, advice, struggles and lessons learned when it comes to our first times debuting an art project we produced or a practice we've been honing. The Event Run of Show:We'll have 2 incredible speakers to introduce segments of the night. Speakers will spend 10 minutes sharing their personal journies, stories, and relationships with the theme, along with some of their best practices. They'll then share 3 prompts/questions for us to have an open conversation filled with our respective thoughts, feelings and stories! This is a Gold Beams event presented in partnership with Oakstop Alliance: This space is for us to have dope conversations and connections about honest and fun topics that are happening. We'll talk about things we're curious about and get to hear perspectives from our peers. There will be 🍷Additional Details:We'll be taking pics so look cute if you'd like to take part. Once you enter the Oakstop14 location you'll make your way to the Beckford suite. 274 14th St, Oakland, CA 94612 The Gold Beams brand curates beautifully eclectic events, experiences, programming, and productions for Black creatives and our Black community at large.
