Learn to look at self-care in a new and exciting way that is empowering and sets up a foundational core for doing anti-racism work.
Fundamentals of Well-Being is a conceptual model grounded in deep ecology and occupational science that can be used as a guide to self care--beyond the typical rhetoric to eat right, exercise, and rest. The kind of self care made possible by adhering to Fundamentals of Well-Being concepts also sets us up for anti-racist work. Participants will explore 4 qualities that are essential to our staying alive with an eye on racial relations, and will have opportunities to reflect upon which qualities are represented in their own lives and what they can do to bolster qualities that are not robust.
