Mission for the Homeless is helping about 120 people nightly to survive in the Fruitvale and downtown areas of Oakland. We need items such as blankets, sleeping bags and warm men's coats.
We have an outreach person who has been helping homeless people for twenty-two years. He believes they deserve help but are often stereotyped as having no worth. If you have wanted to help people in need but have not known how to help, our nonprofit is an easy way to get food, blankets and other items directly to people in need. Whatever you donate today (same day pickup) will be given to a homeless person the same night. It is an easy way to give and be sure that the item will get to a person in need.
Our outreach person has gained the trust and confidence of the homeless. He is nonjudgmental and cares and attends to their needs. They know they have a friend who cares what happens to them.
If you can help, please do email us.
