Welcome to the 2021 Wayne County LightFest! The Wayne County Lightfest is magical four-mile stretch of Hines Park, displaying nearly 50 animated themed displays and more than 100,000 lights . The Lightfest is open Wednesday - Sunday from Thursday, November 18 until Friday, December 31, 2021 (closed December 25) from 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM. The Lightfest is closed Monday and Tuesday evenings. Due to overwhelming response to the Lightfest, wait times may be longer than normal on weekends. Families all over the Metro Detroit Area are looking for safe activities to participate in this holiday season and our staff is working diligently to make the Lightfest experience as positive as possible. Lightfest Fees: Cars $5 cashCommercial van/RV/limo $20 cashMini-Bus (20 passenger) $25 cashBus (40 passenger +) $50 cash The entrance to the Lightfest is 7651 North Merriman Road, which is on Merriman between Ann Arbor Trail and Warren Avenue in Westland, 2 1/2 miles south of I-96. During the Lightfest, Hines Drive closes to traffic for set-up and operations from 5:00 PM - 11:30 PM from Ann Arbor Trail to Outer Drive.
