Press release from the Fox Cities Chamber: December 23, 2021 The Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce has announced that it is changing the date of two signature events in 2022: Celebrate Fox Cities Annual Dinner and the Chamber's Economic Outlook Lunch (EOL). According to Chamber President and CEO Becky Bartoszek, the decision was made due to the recent surge in COVID-19 cases, and done in collaboration with both events' major sponsors. "We are thrilled to be able to bring two world class speakers to the Fox Cities in 2022, which was only made possible thanks to the generous support of our sponsors: ThedaCare, Boldt, Johnson Financial Group, and Community First Credit Union," said Bartoszek. "However, due to the current surge of the Omicron variant, we have decided to push these programs back. We are excited we can still hold both marquis events at a later date, and in a safe manner that allows more people to attend. This helps keep our communities safe, our children in schools, and our local employees healthy, while easing the pressure on our healthcare system." Celebrate and EOL, previously scheduled for January 20 and February 10 respectively, will be moved to new dates in late March or April. ThedaCare President and CEO Dr. Imran Andrabi said he supports the Chamber's decision to move these events: "As a major sponsor, ThedaCare thanks the Chamber and supports the decision to reschedule this event in the best interest of the health and safety of our communities. We look forward to safely gathering in the near future and enjoying the events and organizations that are celebrated in our region. In the meantime, we at ThedaCare strongly encourage all community members who are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine and booster, wear masks when in public spaces, stay home when you are feeling sick, get tested if you have symptoms, and physically distance when you are with others outside of your household. Let's rally as a community once again, take precautions and move forward safely, together." ThedaCare recently published a video that highlights the current COVID situation: https://youtu.be/LcfLXaKSrCo. Once new dates are set for the two events, the Chamber will send an update. All tickets and tables already purchased for both will automatically be transferred to the new date; attendees do not need to do anything.
