BRIDGEPORT, CT — Charges are set to be dropped against a restaurant owner and Trumbull resident who was accused of trying to bribe a teen who was allegedly sexually assaulted at his Bridgeport business, according to the Connecticut Post. John Vazzano was granted a pretrial probation program Thursday on the condition that he hold a lunch for charity, according to the Post. Vazzano owns Vazzy's locations in Bridgeport, Shelton, Monroe and at the Fairchild Wheeler Golf Course in Fairfield, as well as Vazzano's Four Seasons in Stratford, the Post has reported. In late 2019, two employees at the Bridgeport Vazzy's location sexually assaulted the 16-year-old hostess, according to the Post, which reported one of the workers, a dishwasher, was charged in February 2020, but the other is still being sought by law enforcement. Also in February 2020, Vazzano approached the girl's father and offered to give her a job at another restaurant and a $1,000 Macy's gift card, the Post reported. Read more from the Connecticut Post.
