Via Stamford Public Schools STAMFORD, CT — Stamford Public Schools announced earlier this week that Paola Ochoa has been named as assistant principal of Dolan Middle School. Ochoa returns to Dolan where she taught Spanish to seventh and eighth grade students from 2009-2015. For the past two years, she has been the department head for Westhill High School's guidance department. "We are thrilled to welcome back one of our own," said Dolan Principal Charmaine Davis in a news release. "Clearly, she is the best choice for this position, but an added benefit is she knows our community so well." Ochoa graduated from St. John's University with both undergraduate and graduate degrees. She also holds a master's degree in bilingual school counseling from Long Island University. Ochoa also has an intermediate administrator certification from the University of Bridgeport. Ochoa's first day as assistant principal at Dolan will be in early January, the district said.
